Your University Student ID Card

Your Texas Tech University ID card serves as your personal identification and should be carried at all times while on campus. Your ID card will be required whenever you use the following locations:

Meal access in all residence dining halls
Access to your residence halls
Access to Student Health and Pharmacy at Thompson Hall
Library
ATLC (Advanced Technology Learning Center) in the basement of the library
Recreational sports
Architecture Library in the Architecture Building
Student Union check cashing and ticket booth
Access into sporting events - football, men's and women's basketball and baseball games
Raider Card
Dining Bucks, used at residence dining halls, The Market and Sam's Place

For your protection, we no longer print the Social Security number on the front of the card.

OBTAINING AN ID CARD

New students can obtain an ID card by going to the University ID/Raider Card Office located in Room 104 of the Student Union Building. There is no charge for the first ID. You must present your driver's license and a class schedule to obtain an ID card.

LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED CARDS

Lost ID cards should be reported to the university ID/Raider Card Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If your card has been lost, stolen or damaged, go to the ID/Raider Card office for a replacement. The replacement fee is $12.00.
Graduate Students who were enrolled at Tech as an undergraduate are entitled to a new ID card if they present there old card. If you do not have a card a $ 12.00 replacement fee is charged.
If the magnetic stripe on the back of the card becomes demagnetized, come to the ID/Raider Card office to have the card re-encoded.
Should you lose or misplace your ID card and live on campus, you can obtain a temporary meal pass from your dining room Cashier/Checker any time meals are being served. Temporary door access cards are available at your residence hall office any time the university ID/Raider Card office is not open. If your ID card accesses the parking gate, the Chitwood Office will issue a temporary gate access card.
