Architecture and Design Learning Community

For 2017-2018, the Architecture & Design Learning Community will be located in Clement Hall, and is open to all students admitted to the general architecture and preprofessional programs in the College of Architecture and students majoring or minoring in Apparel Design & Manufacturing and Interior Design in the College of Human Sciences' Department of Design.

The Architecture & Design Learning Community provides a unique experience for students in general and preprofessional Architecture programs, Interior Design, and Apparel Design & Manufacturing to live together in an environment supporting their academic, personal and professional success.

Students have opportunities to:

  • Access a unique studio space on the 2nd floor of the Clement Residence Hall
  • Connect with other Architecture and Design majors
  • Enjoy in-hall events designed specifically for your personal and academic needs

Events and activities may include:

  • Attending local Lubbock events like the First Friday Art Trial
  • Aiding the community through Habitat for Humanity builds
  • Enjoying discounts at Varsity Bookstore for class supplies
  • Visiting local architecture firms and meeting Texas Tech alumnus working in the field

The Architecture & Design Learning Community contributes to Texas Tech University's Architecture, Construction & Design Undergraduate Academic Interest Area, aligned with the Architecture & Construction Plan of Study in the Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for lifelong learning.
