Men of STEM Learning Community

For 2017-2018, the Men of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Learning Community will be located in Sneed Hall, and is open to male students pursuing studies in fields related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Men of STEM Learning Community provides a unique experience for male students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to live together in an environment supporting their academic, personal and professional success.

Events and activities may include:

  • Weekly in-hall office hours with the Assistant Academic Dean
  • Participating in community service projects
  • Listening to a variety of guest speakers
  • Attending the Engineering Career Fair
  • Attending campus events like football games with your LC
  • Sharing meals with faculty and other students
  • Attending a wide range of social events including barbeques, game nights, cosmic bowling, and dance central

The Men of STEM Learning Community contributes to Texas Tech University's Agriculture & Food Sciences; Engineering, Computing & Math; and Health, Life & Natural Sciences Undergraduate Academic Interest Areas, aligned with the Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources; Health Science; Information Technology; Manufacturing; Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics Plans of Study in the Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for lifelong learning.
