Israel Flores has been at Texas Tech for only a short time, but has already made a huge impact. His knowledge and customer service have placed him in a position to be the first contact for our department with any technology-related questions. Early in his employment at Texas Tech, Israel reviewed programming for a software application no longer supported by the Comptroller's Office but heavily used in our department to upload transactions. After a login screen for the related online application was updated, our software and upload documents were not compatible with their software. Israel adjusted the software code and by doing so, the upload problem was corrected. Without it, a team of 4 employees would spend roughly a half day each per month manually making entries. This fantastic save allowed the team to tackle more substantive tasks. Israel's skills are unmatched in our department and demonstrate valuable potential. He truly enjoys helping others within Accounting Services and across campus to find solutions for complex IT and programming issues.
