Executive Associate
School of Law

Jo Ann Landin Altman has contributed to the success of the university by being someone who exhibits work ethic, who completes tasks accurately, who is efficient with her time, who is respectful, and who is professional. Beyond her obvious traits are also her loyalty, compassion, and kindheartedness. As the "gatekeeper" to the dean, Jo Ann manages a wide variety of administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordinating travel, and drafting documents. Additionally, Jo Ann has done a tremendous job under not one, not two, but three law school deans. As a resilient employee, Jo Ann adjusted to ensure that the law school continued its success throughout these changes in leadership. The law school underwent its reaccreditation site visit by the American Bar Association in March 2018. Jo Ann was essential during the long reaccreditation process by keeping all those involved in the site visit organized and by making the site visit team feel welcomed. The law school was notified by the ABA that it is in full compliance with all standards and will not have another visit until 2028. This positive result is in part due to the diligence of Jo Ann.
