Kim Lindsey, in her 5 years at Texas Tech, has been a driving force in a remarkable transformation of the Equestrian Center and all its programs through her strong leadership, outstanding management, vision, creativity, hard work and dedication to the center and the students, staff, faculty and alumni she serves. Under her leadership the Center has run in the black since FY14. In addition to her outstanding fiscal management, she has cultivated an environment in which all the groups housed at the Center work together as a cohesive unit for the betterment of the equestrian program as a whole. The facilities have undergone a dramatic transformation as well. With her 30-plus years of experience in the equine and cattle industries Kim has provided the vision and expertise to make significant improvements to existing facilities and to add numerous additions. In order to make these improvements, Kim, along with the center advisory board have obtained hundreds of thousands of dollars in internal and external funds and gifts with which to make improvements and support the programs. The work she has done at the Equestrian Center is truly amazing and transformative. Texas Tech is indeed fortunate to have an individual of her caliber, energy, and visibility as a representative.
