| Position Description | Performs routine and advanced duties pertinent to the police officer position to which the
officer is assigned including, supervising, and giving on-the-job training to a police officer
trainee. Responsibilities include supervisory and staff responsibilities as assigned or
when special circumstances arise or when directed by a supervisory officer.
Exercises independent judgment within limits prescribed by law, rules,
regulations, and Department policies. The work is subject to review by
supervising officers through activity reports and periodic observation of
operation. May supervise subordinate Police Officers. |
