Glenna sees every undergraduate in the department as they register for the next semester. She meets with new students and their parents during orientation sessions in the summer, listens to the concerns of students and parents, makes sure the student's schedules is appropriate and that each student makes adequate progress toward graduation. Glenna also works on the Departmental Scholarship Committee and maintains all student records for the department. She has improved the department's efficiency, motivated co-workers and students to do their very best and instilled pride in Texas Tech. She demonstrates exemplary service and devotion to the students. Almost every student compliments her during senior exit interviews as being one of the most important people who helped them succeed in completing the CEE program.

Criteria for Consideration for the Chancellor's Award of Excellence

• The nominee has five (5) years or more of continuous service with Texas Tech.
• This individual demonstrated exemplary service and commitment to Texas Tech and the achievement of its goals through his or her actions throughout the year.
• This individual enhanced the quality of the workplace in ways that significantly increase productivity and efficiency for colleagues or customers to include developing creative solutions; and provided outstanding and ongoing excellence in services to faculty, staff, students, and/or other Texas Tech customers.
