BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES - DIETETICS

Purpose of Program:
Students will be prepared to make a contribution to professions related to nutrition and to society as a whole through quality education, research, and service.
Expected Learning Outcomes from Program:
- Have an in-depth and accurate knowledge of the dietetics field.
- Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education's (CADE) Foundation Knowledge and Skills will be met.
- Use knowledge gained to solve problems.
- Effectively use oral and written communications.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES
Purpose of Program:
To prepare graduates to secure professional-level positions in a relevant area, or to gain admission to graduate programs of study in a relevant area.
Expected Learning Outcomes from Program:
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge within the field.
- Discuss, interpret, and analyze central and current issues relevant to the field.
- Communicate discipline specific information.
- Design research in the discipline.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES
Purpose of Program:
To prepare graduates to secure professional-level nutrition-related positions in academia and industry.
Expected Learning Outcomes from Program:
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge within the field.
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate central and current issues relevant to the field.
- Use knowledge gained in the discipline to solve problems.
- Design and conduct research in the discipline.
- Communicate discipline specific information in written and oral form.
