What do I need to bring to my advising session?
- Please check your Degree Audit on Raiderlink to make sure all your classes are accounted for that you have taken. Also, bring a proposed list of classes that you would like to register for that includes alternates in case of scheduling conflicts
What is an "Academic Advisor Hold" and how do I get it released?
- A hold is an electronic block on your registration through your MyTech account that will require you to meet with or contact your major’s advisor to be released
Where do I need to go to change my major to another department on campus or to transfer to another college or university?
- Visit with the advisor in the college to which you wish to transfer.
How do I learn about Study Abroad opportunities?
- Visit the Study Abroad office in the International Cultural Center (9th and Indiana) and meet with a study abroad advisor. Mass Advising meetings are held daily at 4:00 pm.
How do I learn which courses will transfer in my major from Study Abroad?
- After you have determined from the Study Abroad office where you want to study, contact your Human Sciences major advisor for transferable course work.
How do I know which courses will transfer to my program from my community college?
- Your major’s advisor will be able to evaluate your incoming credits to determine which ones apply to your degree plan. Also, you can check how credits transfer online at www.depts.ttu.edu/registrar/teo.
When should I apply to the Teacher Education blocks?
- YYou should apply after you have 60 hours that apply to your degree plan and have at least a 2.7 GPA. Deadlines for application are September 20th for Spring admission and February 1st for Fall admission.
Why can’t I register now for next semester?
- The University has a predetermined registration date based upon hours completed and where your last name falls in the alphabet.
Is my grade replacement automatic?
- No, you will need to go to the Registrar’s office in West hall and fill out a form to have your grade replaced.
Raiderlink is telling me that I need to file my intent to graduate form. What does that mean?
- If you have at least 90 hours completed towards your major, we require that you fill out a form letting us know the semester you intend to finish your coursework and graduate.
