Leslie is a Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences (CFAS) major from Frisco, Texas.
Her minors are Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) and Psychology. Leslie
chose to come to Texas Tech because she wanted the experience of living in a college
town. She loves the atmosphere and school spirit found in Lubbock, as well as the
love for Red Raider Nation. Leslie has always wanted a job that would help people,
and is glad one of her HDFS professors told her about CFAS and encouraged her to pursue
it. Her favorite thing about her major is the newness of the field, as there is so
much room to grow and explore different possibilities. Leslie loves learning from
people who have gone through some of the things she would like to counsel others on;
she said it gives her a better education by learning from people who have lived it.
Leslie will graduate May of 2017.
