APS Scholarships

The Department of Applied and Professional Studies (APS) is comprised of five unique academic programs (Personal Financial Planning, Marriage and Family Therapy, Family and Consumer Sciences, Community, Family, and Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies). The APS department offers a variety of scholarships for graduate and undergraduate students.

Awards are based on excellence in academics, leadership, financial need, and other specific criteria set forth by individual scholarships. Although some scholarships are awarded directly from the department, the majority of scholarships are awarded through your specific academic program. Awards are determined by scholarship committees comprised of program faculty members. Over $77,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to APS students for the 2009-2010 school year.

To apply for a scholarship, students must complete the general TTU scholarship application, and have their transcripts and applicable test scores on file. Be sure to include your personal goals statement, this information is closely reviewed by the scholarship committee. A letter of recommendation from a faculty member is not required for undergraduate scholarships.

Undergraduate scholarship applications must be complete on or before February 1.

Check your TTU email account for notification of scholarship awards.
