Class Observations

The Texas Tech Child Development Research Center welcomes students who are completing observations of children 0-5, adult/child interactions, or classroom environments for their coursework.

Our children range in age from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Observations must have been previously arranged by the course instructor. Observations may take place between the hours of 7:30-11:30 and 2:00-5:30. We do not set up specific times with students for observations.  Please contact (806) 742-3016 only if you have specific questions. Please bring a photo ID with you to sign in to observe.

Course instructors should contact Stacy Johnson, CDRC Director (stacy.johnson@ttu.edu; 834-4382) or Cindy Bruington, CDRC Associate Director (cindy.bruington@ttu.edu; 832-7404) to arrange for course observations.  Tell them what course you are teaching, how many students you have and what your expectations are for the observations. You will receive an observation guidelines packet to share with your students. Additionally, you will need to provide a class list for each course requested.
