Lindsey Lovelady

Zac Posen Internship
Retail Management

Lindsey Lovelady, a senior Retail Management student spent her summer in New York City. She interned at Zac Posen where she gained valuable experience in the corporate design world.

Lindsey has always been intrigued by the business aspect of the fashion industry and what goes on behind the scenes. When she was offered an internship working for her favorite designer, she jumped at the opportunity.

“He (Zac Posen) has always been one of my favorite designers; I admire his anatomical seaming and very unique designs. I wanted to learn more about couture design and I knew this would be an excellent opportunity for me to do that.”

Since Lindsey has begun her internship, her primary responsibilities have been assisting in sales, visual merchandising, and inventory. She also works with potential clients, helping them determine what type of custom design they are looking for and personally delivering their custom orders in the New York City area.

She has routine office duties like attending to the showroom collection, handling appointments, and making deliveries, but every so often she gets to take part in something spectacular.

“The most exciting experience was my first week when Vogue came to preview Zac's new collection. It was busy, and I jumped right in and helped like everyone else. It was very exciting and I loved getting to be a part of it!”

Lindsey has enjoyed the fast-paced environment of her internship and the city. For her, each day at the office is a new and different adventure. She describes what she enjoys most about working there.
