Pennington/Bass Financial Planning
Lee D. Pennington, CFP, CIMC and Mark I. Bass, CFP, CPA, CIMC of Pennington, Bass & Associates represent one of the oldest, continuously operated financial planning partnerships in the country. Pennington, Bass & Associates manages approximately $120 million on behalf of clients in several states and foreign countries.
Lee Pennington has been a pioneer and leader in the financial planning profession. He earned his CFP in 1974, in the second group to attain this certification, becoming one of only 3 CFPs in the state. In 1986, Lee received the Regional CFP of the Year and in 2001 was named the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal's Readers' Choice Best Financial Planner. In 2000, he received the John B. Keeble Award for Integrity and Excellence as a financial planner.
Mark Bass earned his CFP in 1975 and at the time was the youngest to do so. In 1987, Mark was named one of Money Magazine's Top 200 Financial Planners in the U.S. In 1998, he received the John B. Keeble Award for Integrity and Excellence as a financial planner.
Lee and Mark were instrumental in helping design and formulate the curriculum for the Family Financial Planning program in the COHS. Both men have been active in numerous civic, church and community organizations.
