TECHstyle
Texas Tech Seniors Strut Their Stuff!
TECHstyle is an event that the Department of Design has created to show off its students in style. For the second year, Apparel Design & Manufacturing and Interior Design Students were recognized during the same event. TECHstyle is a cocktail, hors d’oeuvres reception and fashion show that was held last May at the Civic Center here in Lubbock.
At this event, there were 28 Apparel Design student collections and 54 senior Interior Design student portfolios for public viewing at the opening reception. Channel 11 KCBD’s Pete Christy joined the festivities as he strutted down the catwalk in his denim “I Beat Pete” challenge jacket. Also at TECHstyle, there were multiple student awards and scholarships presented.
Students invited friends, family, and special guests to join them at TECHstyle. Also invited were all of the Texas Tech faculty and friends of the University. The event brought in over 1000 people to a sold out show. Thanks to all of the people and businesses that made this event so successful.
