Computer Specifications
A laptop computer is required for ALL incoming Interior Design freshmen.
These recommendations are designed to provide the student with a computer powerful enough to handle CAD, Adobe software, and other design software.
Minimum specifications are as follows:
A laptop with the following specifications meets our computer requirement.
- Processor - Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz with 2MB Cache 667MHz FSB
- System Memory - 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SCRAM
- Hard Drive - 100 GB
- Video Card - 256MB Nvidia Quadro NVS
- Floppy Drive - None
- 8x DVD+/-RW Drive
- Network Card - Integrated 10/100 Network Card 802.11 b/g WLAN network
- Operating System - Microsoft WindowsTM XP Professional or
Vista Ultimate 32-bit edition*
*An Apple/IMac computer is not recommended unless it has the ability to run of the above Windows Operating Systems (dual boot).
