Community Engagement
Dr. Ben Goh’s community engagement class recently organized a Charity Bowl at South Plains Bowling Lanes on March 3, 2008. About 150 students and RHIM faculty members attended the event. The students and faculty had a great time bowling.
The event raised a total of $2,369 plus another $500 from Kohl’s Department Store for the Parkway/Guadalupe Neighborhood Centers in Lubbock. These funds will be used for community projects in the summer through a graduate level community engagement summer class.
Students will visit different non-profit organizations in the community in order to solicit projects that will benefit the local residents and community.
