Retail Management

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Texas Tech University Retail Management Program is to prepare individuals who will make a contribution to the retail industry and to society as a whole through quality education, research, and service.

Two Tracks

The Retail Management program offers two tracks to better meet the needs of Texas Tech Retail Students and the retail community by focusing on the specific skills needed at the store or operations level or at the corporate level. Students may choose a single track or complete both tracks.

Store Management Track:
RHIM 3320 Facilities Management
RTL 3375 Retail Buying or RHIM 4313 Legal Aspects of the Hospitality Industry
RTL 3345 Event Management or RHIM 3308 Hotel Group Sales and Services

Corporate/Research Track:
RTL 3380 Retail Buying and Control
RTL 4320 Retail Category Management
RTL 4330 Retailing Research
