BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN RETAIL MANAGEMENT
Purpose of Program:
Students will be prepared with knowledge and skills needed to enter professional career tracks in the retail industry.
Expected Learning Outcomes from Program:
- Students will be able to apply mathematical and financial concepts related to merchandise planning, control, and distribution.
- Students will be able to use technology, theoretical concepts, and analytical skills in retail related problem-solving and decision-making.
- Students will be able to assess the impact of external forces (i.e., cultural, social, economic, legal, political, and environmental) on the retail industry.
- Students will be able to demonstrate effective leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Students will be able to apply marketing research tools / methods to conduct client sponsored retail research projects.
- Students will be able to demonstrate retail management strategies with vendors, customers, associates, and other industry stakeholders.
