Participate in a Research Study!
The Nutritional Sciences program is recruiting adult men and women (ages 18-65) to participate in a research study looking at short-term changes in health parameters.
This study involves two visits. The first visit will take place in November and last approximately 10-20 minutes. Visit 2 will take place in January and will also last approximately 10-20 minutes. You will not be able to eat or drink (including caffeine) for four (4) hours before each visit and will need to avoid moderate to vigorous exercise for 12 hours prior to each visit.
During each visit, we will measure your height and weight. Additionally, we will measure your body composition with a safe, non-invasive method called bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). For the BIA analysis, you will stand on a scale while we measure the impedance or opposition to the flow of a small current. You will not feel anything during this procedure and it will only take a few seconds to complete the measurement. We will also take your blood pressure while you are in a seated position.
Your participation in this study will be strictly voluntary and greatly appreciated. You may refuse or cease your participation at any time during the study.
If you are interested in participating and would like to see if you qualify for the study, please contact Jamie Cooper, PhD in the Department of Nutrition, Hospitality, and Retailing at (806) 742-3068 ext.307 or via email at email@example.com.
Thank you for your interest!
