Academic Program
Retailing focuses on developing, distributing, and selling products that undergo continuous change in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. The merchandising process features a wide assortment of products that includes apparel, textiles, toys, books, food, entertainment, travel and hospitality products.
Courses are designed to encompass current retailing issues and policies, such as resource management, buyer behavior, problem solving, application and technology, team-building skills, and organizational strategies. The expertise students will develop in the program will assist in opening the door to career positions in all channels of retail distribution.

Scholarships are available to Texas Tech retailing students. They are awarded based on academic excellence and financial need. Students must reapply each year in order to sustain awarded scholarships.
