McKenzie Wilkes, M.S.
McKenzie Wilkes is an assistant director for the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery in the College of Human Sciences at Texas Tech University. She oversees the eating disorder program within the Collegiate Recovery Community and works on special projects such as grants, research clusters, presentations and publications.
McKenzie is working towards her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies and Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, she is finished with coursework and is working to finish qualifying exams and then her dissertation.
McKenzie worked as a research associate for eating disorders at the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery for two years prior to her current position. She also worked as a research associate for the Covenant BodyMind Initiative through the Center for Adolescent Research for a year. McKenzie worked as a graduate research assistant for the Covenant BodyMind Initiative for three years after working for the United Future Leaders and Supportive Adolescent Services for a year.
