Kati Starkey

Kati Starkey is the Managing Director with Charles Schwab Advisor Services in Plano, Texas. She currently manages a sales team of 6 relationship managers that work with the largest Registered Investment Advisors in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

She is incredibly passionate about the work they do to build relationships by understanding the client's business model, the RIA marketplace and developing strategies to help them grow, compete, and succeed. She has been with Schwab for 15 years, prior to that she worked for a Registered Investment Advisor in New Jersey.

She started at Schwab as a Regional Support Specialist, and quickly moved her way up to where she is now. In 2001, she graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Personal Financial Planning.

In August 2018, she completed her MBA. She also has her AWMA (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor) and AAMS (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designations from the College for Financial Planning. She has a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Southern Methodist University, Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses, and Life/ Health Insurance licenses. Kati is a past President and Board Member of the Texas Tech Personal Financial Planning Alumni Advisory Board.

She is currently serving on the board for Helping Hands for Single Moms in Dallas, an amazing organization that helps single moms go back to school to better provide for their families. This year, Kati and her husband Jason started a Texas Tech scholarship to support strength and diversity in financial planning by empowering women to pursue careers in the industry.
