SMILE Service Framework

Becoming a S.M.I.L.E. Partner

The S.M.I.L.E. framework was developed to be universally applicable to all ages (youth and adults), and can therefore be used to benefit a wide variety of programs, businesses, and organizations in achieving their service goals. In 2014, the UFL staff expanded the use of the S.M.I.L.E. framework and training beyond direct program participants. Organizations interested in developing a service-leadership component have the opportunity to become S.M.I.L.E. Partners, where they will be trained in the program philosophy and procedures for replication. The UFL staff will provide consultation and support for interested partners to develop their own service login system that meets the needs of the participants and organization using online survey programs, such as Qualtrics. S.M.I.L.E. partnerships offer the potential for UFL to further expand its impact beyond the Lubbock community through replication of program components, while benefitting organizations that are committed to serving the communities in which they operate
