Chair's Message
Texas Tech University is now listed among the nation's top doctoral universities in the latest Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. It is part of 115 elite universities listed in the Highest Research Activity category and is one of 81 public institutions in the top tier. Texas Tech was one of only 15 universities to move into this category since the previous ranking in 2010. Read more
The New Industrial, Manufacturing and Systems Engineering Building
Phase 1 is now completed at a cost of over $6 million. The completed project will cost in excess of $12 million. Read more

Michael Foss is living the Texas Tech motto "From Here It's Possible" as he is the first Red Raider to become President of the board of trustees (BOT) for the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineering (IISE) www.iienet2.org serving a three year term from 2015-2018. IISE is a nonprofit organization that provides knowledge, training, networking opportunities and recognition to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the industrial and systems engineering profession and those individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. Read More
