Summary: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now accepting proposals for a new grant called the Saudi-American Educational and Cultural Initiative Grants (SAECIG) and is for Saudi and U.S. non-governmental and community organizations, universities, entrepreneurs, cultural organizations or qualified individuals who propose to work together to develop or expand educational, professional and cultural exchange activities and promote dialogue and partnership between the people of the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The new grant will support innovative forms of collaboration to expand the diversity of activities in the U.S.-Saudi partnership and develop the next generation of leaders, especially among youth, young professionals and women, and to promote mutual understanding and respect through long-term partnership and cooperation between our two countries.

Summary: The International Research Seed Grants reflect the interest of the Office of Vice President for Research (OVPR) and the International Research and Development Division, Office of International Affairs (IRDD-OIA) in enhancing international research and development activities. We are especially interested in providing "seed" funds to support faculty develop preliminary international research efforts that is interdisciplinary and multi-institutional. Supported work should form a pathway towards establishing more ambitious, externally-funded projects. Funds of up to $2,000 will be available every spring semester following an annual competition. Proposals may be submitted by any TTU faculty, preferably as a team, to support any type of scholarly, international research/development activity. Summary: The United States-Israel Collaboration in Computer Science (USICCS) program is a joint program of NSF and the United States - Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF). The program supports research projects that develop new knowledge in the areas of theory of computing; algorithm design and analysis; design, verification, and evaluation of software systems; and revolutionary computing models based on emerging scientific ideas. Summary: The Dimensions of Biodiversity program currently targets three fundamental dimensions of biodiversity - genetic diversity, phylogenetic diversity, and functional diversity. Integration among these three dimensions is an essential aspect of all proposals. Investigators are encouraged to develop international collaborations if projects will characterize multiple dimensions of biodiversity and understand their ecological and evolutionary significance within a global context. NSF has agreements with the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) to jointly support US-China International Research Projects. NSF also has signed an agreement with the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), Brazil to jointly support US-São Paulo Collaborative Research projects. These agreements do not preclude other international collaborations.
