Approximately eighty of TTU's international students from countries around the world—plus students from ESL—participated in the Tech homecoming parade this year. This was the first time that most of these students had ever taken part in Homecoming festivities.

Deepak Thadituri, a student from India, said that "the experience was exciting, and my friends were surprised to see me in the parade. People were clapping when they saw us—TTU has always welcomed international students."
