Eight Tech Students to Receive Gilman Scholarships

The U.S. Department of State's Gilman International Scholarship Program has announced the awards offered to U.S. undergraduates who applied for the summer 2015 term. The Gilman Scholarship Program received more than 3,400 applications for the summer 2015 term, and over 1,000 outstanding students were offered awards to participation in credit-bearing study abroad programs and in career-oriented internships in countries all around the world this summer. Eight TTU students are among the scholarship recipients.

The Gilman Scholarship Program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study and intern abroad and the countries and regions where they go by offering awards to U.S. undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints.
