Nutritional Tour of Italy

Students participating in this program will have the unique opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of Italy while learning about Italian food production and the Mediterranean diet and health. Beautiful Italian cities you will visit include: Rome, Florence, Siena, Bargino, Bologna, Modena, Parma, Verona, and Venice. Some trip highlights are seeing the historic city centers, the Sistine Chapel, the Coliseum, the Accademia Gallery, and the Venetian Islands. Your learning experiences will be enhanced by visiting facilities where traditional Italian foods such as olive oil, wine, Parma Ham, Balsamic vinegar, and Parmesan cheese are produced. You will also get to visit local Italian markets and attend gourmet Italian cooking classes.
