Install Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 in Mac OS X
STEP 1: Make sure your Mac meets the following system requirements:

|Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.x)||512 MB||300 MB free space|
|Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.x)||256 MB||300 MB free space|
STEP 2: Open the .dmg file that you downloaded for installing the software.
STEP 3: Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection.mpkg file.
STEP 4: Click Continue.
STEP 5: Click Continue.
STEP 6: Review the "Read Me" file. Click Continue when you are ready to proceed.
STEP 7: Review the license agreement. Then, click Continue.
STEP 8: If you agree to the terms of the license agreement, click Agree.
STEP 9: Make sure that Unmanaged is selected, and then click Continue.
STEP 10: Click Install.
STEP 11: If prompted for your administrative credentials, type them into the appropriate fields. Then, click OK.
STEP 12: Review the warning. If you are ready to proceed with installation, close all of your open applications now. Then, click Continue Installation.
STEP 13: Wait while the installation completes.
STEP 14: Make sure that all of your applications are still closed and that all of your work is saved. Then, click Log Out.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 has been installed. When you sign back in to Mac OS X, the software will be running in the background to protect you from threats.
It is recommended that you schedule a LiveUpdate task to run daily so that your virus definitions are kept up to date.
