Modify an Existing VPN Connection
To modify an existing PPTP VPN connection for IPsec/L2TP, please following the instructions below:
Windows Vista:
STEP 1: Click the Start Button. Right-click on Network and click Properties.
STEP 2: Click Manage network connections.
STEP 3: Right-click your existing PPTP VPN connection, then click Properties.
STEP 4: Click on the Security tab, then change the following:
- Typical (recommended settings)
- Require secured password
- Ensure Automatically use my Windows logon name and password is unchecked.
- Check Require data encryption.
STEP 5: Click on the Networking tab. Change the Type of VPN to L2TP IPsec VPN, then click IPsec Settings.
STEP 6: Click Use preshared key for authentication. Enter TTUnetVPN for the key. Click OK on all preceding windows.
NOTE: The key is case sensitive.
