Configure an Existing POP/IMAP Profile
To change an existing Outlook 2007 POP or IMAP account for Exchange 2007 implementation, please follow the instructions below.
NOTE: If Texas Tech University is not your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you may need to setup a VPN connection to TTU in order to use the Exchange servers on campus. Please click here for instructions on setting up a VPN connection to TTU.
STEP 1: With Outlook 2007 open go to Tools -> Account Settings.

STEP 2: Click your account type (POP or IMAP), then click Change.

STEP 3: For both POP & IMAP accounts you can simply change the username. When finished click More Settings.

User Name: eRaider@ttu.edu (e.g. jdoe@ttu.edu)

STEP 4: Click the Outgoing Server tab, then change the following.
- My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: Checked
- Use the same settings as my incoming mail server: Selected

STEP 5: Click OK. Then click Next, then Finish.
