Setup Eudora 7.1 for POP/SMTP
STEP 1: With Eudora open, click Tools -> Options.
STEP 2: Click Getting Started as the category, verify the following:
- Real name: First and Last Name
- Email address: Your TechMail Address (e.g. john.doe@ttu.edu)
- Mail Server (Incoming): mail.ttu.edu
- User Name: eRaider@ttu.edu (e.g. jdoe@ttu.edu)
- SMTP Server (Outgoing): smtp.ttu.edu
- Verify Allow authentication is checked
STEP 3: Click Checking Mail as the category, verify the following:

Mail Server: mail.ttu.edu

User Name: eRaider@ttu.edu (e.g. jdoe@ttu.edu)

Verify Secure Sockets when Receiving is set to Required, Alternate Port
STEP 4: Click Incoming Mail as the category, verify the following:

Server configuration: POP

Authentication style: Passwords
STEP 5: Click Sending Mail as the category, verify the following:

Email address: Your TechMail Address (e.g. john.doe@ttu.edu)

SMTP server: smtp.ttu.edu

SMTP Relay Personality: None

Verify Allow authentication is checked

Verify Secure Sockets when Receiving is set to If Available, STARTTLS
STEP 6: Click OK.
