Configure Mac Mail for IMAP/SMTP
STEP 1: Click the Mail icon (the stamp) on your dock to open Mac Mail.

STEP 2: If you have already created an account in Mac Mail, click Mail -> Preferences.
If you DO NOT HAVE an account set up, skip to STEP 4.

STEP 3: Select Accounts at the top of the Preferences box, then click the + sign in the bottom left corner to add a new account.

STEP 4: Fill out the following boxes, then click Continue:
- Full Name: Your Last Name, First Name (e.g. Doe, John)
- Email Address: Your TechMail Address (e.g. john.doe@ttu.edu)
- Password: Your eRaider password

STEP 5: Fill out the following boxes, then click Continue:
- Account type: IMAP
- Description: TechMail
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.ttu.edu
- Username: eRaider@ttu.edu (e.g. jdoe@ttu.edu)
- Password: Your eRaider Password

STEP 6: To configure the Outgoing Server options, fill out the following boxes, then click Continue:
- Description: TechMail
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ttu.edu
- Use only this server: checked
- Use Authentication: checked
- Username: eRaider@ttu.edu (e.g. jdoe@ttu.edu)
- Password: Your eRaider Password

STEP 7: Check Take Account Online, then click Create.
NOTE: Verify all the information is correct on this screen. If anything looks incorrect and needs to be changed, click the Go Back button.
