Install Mac OS X Updates
NOTE: Before updating your operating system and application updates, make sure that you have closed all applications and saved any work you currently have.
- Software Updates in Mac OS X requires a user account that has administrator privileges and an active internet connection.

STEP 1: Click Apple -> Software Update.
STEP 2: Software Update will check for updates available for your computer.
STEP 3: A list of available updates will be displayed. Select the items you want to install, click Install.
STEP 4: You will be prompted to enter a Username and Password.
STEP 5: Review the License Agreements for each of your update(s). Click Agree if you agree.
STEP 6: Updates will begin downloading.
STEP 7: After the updates have completed, you may be prompted to restart or shutdown your computer.
