STEP 1: Click on the File menu and select Open Site.
STEP 2: In the "Location" box, type the path for your website, and then click Open. Use the format https://www.myweb.ttu.edu/eRaider (where eRaider is your eRaider username).
NOTE: You must include the "s" after "http" when connecting to manage your site. Users browsing to your site will not need the "s".
STEP 3: If prompted for credentials, type your eRaider name and password and click OK.You may be prompted multiple times.
NOTE: Type your username in the format ttu\eRaider, where eRaider is your eRaider username.
STEP 4: If you would like to edit your site live on the server so that your changes show up immediately when saving a file, select Edit live Web site now, click OK, and skip to "STEP 8" below.
If you would like to edit the website files on your computer and upload the changes to the server later, select Edit local copy now and click OK. Then, proceed to the next step.
STEP 5: Configure the following settings, and then click Next:
STEP 6: You may use the default local copy location, or you may type or browse for a new location. Click Next when you are ready to proceed.
If the location you chose does not exist, you will be prompted to create the folder. Choose Yes if you agree. Otherwise, you will have to revise the location.
STEP 7: Click Finish.
STEP 8: You can now manage your MyWeb website using Expression Web. Any changes you save will be immediately visible to anyone on the Internet at http://www.myweb.ttu.edu/your_eRaider_username or http://myweb.ttu.edu/your_eRaider_username.
If you selected the option to edit your site live, any changes you save will show up immediately on your website.
If you selected the option to edit your files locally, any changes you make will not be reflected on your website until you publish them. You may move files from your computer (column on the left) to the server (column on the right) or publish all changes at once using the arrows in the middle of the screen.
The name of the home page required is one of the following:
The Web server will look for the file names in the order listed above. The file name is case sensitive. If you rename your home page file to one of these file names, then the page should show up when you go to your website's URL at either http://myweb.ttu.edu/your_eRaider_username or http://www.myweb.ttu.edu/your_eRaider_username. Be sure you have your home page in the root directory of your account and not in a sub-folder.
Files you delete from MyWeb are unrecoverable.
