Outlook 2007 Exchange Setup
NOTE: If Texas Tech University is not your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you may need to setup a VPN connection to TTU in order to use the Exchange servers on campus. Please click here for instructions on setting up a VPN connection to TTU.
STEP 1: With Outlook 2007 open go to Tools -> Account Settings.
STEP 2: Click New.
STEP 3: Click Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, click Next.
STEP 4: Check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types, click Next.
STEP 5: Click Microsoft Exchange, click Next.
STEP 6: Enter the following information, click Check Name.
- Microsoft Exchange Server: Your TechMail Server Name
Note: You can find your TechMail server name by logging into http://eraider.ttu.edu. Click Manage your eRaider Account, then click the TechMail tab.
- Use Cached Exchange Mode: Checked
- User Name: Your eRaider Username
STEP 7: Click Finish to create your Exchange Account.
NOTE: If Outlook is unable to automatically authenticate you with the server, you will be prompted for your username and password. If Outlook does not prompt you for a Domain Name, you should enter your username in the " ttu\eRaider " format and then enter your password. If Outlook does prompt for a Domain Name, simply enter your eRaider username, password, and use " TTU " as the Domain Name.
