NOTE: If you are off the TTU campus or connected through a wired connection in the TTU residence halls, you will need to establish a TTUnet VPN connection before beginning these steps.
STEP 1: Click on the File menu and select Open Site.
STEP 2: Type the following path for your website in the dialog box that appears, and then click Open. Use the format \\orgs.tosm.ttu.edu\sites\site_name.
NOTE: This path is for editing/publishing your site only. Users browsing to your site will use http://www.orgs.ttu.edu/site_name.
STEP 3: If prompted, type your eRaider name and password and click OK.
NOTE: Type your username in the format ttu\eRaider, where eRaider is your eRaider username
STEP 4: You can now manage your website from SharePoint Designer 2007. Any changes you save will be immediately visible to anyone on the Internet at http://www.orgs.ttu.edu/site_name.
The name of the home page required is one of the following:
The Web server will look for the file names in the order listed above. The file name is case sensitive. If you name your home page file to one of these file names, then the page should show up when you go to your website's URL at http://www.orgs.ttu.edu/site_name. Be sure you have your home page in the root directory of the account and not in a sub-folder.
Files you delete from your site are unrecoverable.
