Connect to TTUnet Wireless on Android 2.1.x Smartphones

For personally-owned computer equipment, the TTU IT Division does not officially endorse or provide support for the product/information below. The information presented is provided only as a courtesy to the TTU community or for use in cases when the computing equipment is owned by Texas Tech. For additional assistance with personally-owned equipment, please contact the manufacturer/provider of the product/service or your preferred third-party IT support provider.

STEP 1: Press the Home Key.

STEP 2: Press the Menu Key. Choose Settings.

STEP 3: Tap Wireless & networks.

STEP 4: Ensure that the Wi-Fi checkbox is checked.

STEP 5: Tap Wi-Fi settings.

STEP 6: Under the "Wi-Fi networks" heading, tap TTUnet.

If you get a prompt for Enter Credentials Storage Password, enter your password.

STEP 7: A box labeled "Connect to TTUnet" will appear. Configure the following settings, and then tap Connect.

  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • CA certificate: N/A
  • Client certificate: N/A
  • Identity: your eRaider username
  • Anonymous identity: leave blank
  • Wireless password: your eRaider password

STEP 8: Verify that under the heading "Wi-Fi" it reads Connected to TTUnet, and under "Wi-Fi networks" it states TTUnet Connected.

You may tap to see more information about the connection.

Your Android device is now configured to connect to the TTUnet wireless network. You will need to repeat this process the next time you change your eRaider password.
