ATLC - Scanner Stations
The Scanner Station Areas are available to all current students, faculty, and staff of Texas Tech University. They are located in the Open Access Area. All current ATLC policies will apply to the Scanner Station Areas (e.g., Tech IDs are required). If a conflict arises between existing ATLC policies and the guidelines for use of the Scanner Station Areas, the guidelines listed below will prevail.
- If a person wishing to scan needs access to one of the computers in the Scanner Station Areas that is occupied, the current user (if not scanning) will have 5 minutes to vacate the station for the person waiting to scan. If the current user is also scanning, then regular ATLC wait list guidelines will apply.
- Regular wait list guidelines will be implemented for all non-scanner users in the Scanner Station Areas. The two-hour time limit will not be imposed on a scanning user unless another scanning user needs the station.
- A scanning user has priority over non-scanning users on the wait list for the Scanner Station Areas.
Questions on the clarification of guidelines for the Scanner Station Areas may be directed to the Technology Support Academic Facilities Manager.
