TTU K-12 students come from all different backgrounds but share one common goal: a pursuit of academic success. The TTU K-12 high school diploma program offers a state-approved alternative to students who need or desire the flexibility of a distance education to earn their high school diploma.

High School Diploma Program Information

We offer all courses necessary to meet the requirements to complete a Texas high school graduation plan.

Students will be awarded a Texas high school diploma once all graduation criteria are met. TTU K-12 students can graduate at any time throughout the year, with the option of walking in our annual graduation ceremony each spring.

Most courses require students to purchase textbooks or other required materials at an additional cost.

Students must obtain at least 2.5 credits through TTU K-12 coursework to graduate from the full-time program. The last 2.5 credits must also be earned through TTU K-12 courses rather than Credit by Exams.

Full-time enrollment status is maintained by a student's academic progress (one lesson per week) in a minimum of four courses.

Testing

Credit by Exams (CBEs) are available to full-time TTU K-12 students who feel they have already mastered that courses' content.

CBEs and supplemental courses are available to part-time students who need credit recovery or acceleration options.

In addition to coursework, students must pass the appropriate state-required graduation assessments (determined by the year the student entered ninth grade). Please refer to STARR Information or TAKS Information, as well as the State and National Assessments section of the Student Handbook.

Information regarding ACT, SAT, and PSAT for TTU K-12 students may also be found in the State and National Assessments section of the Student Handbook.
