For more than six decades [1892-1954] Ellis Island served as the processing station
for thousands of immigrants entering the United States. Travel back to the early 1900's
and experience what it was like to come to America as an immigrant. *Note: 5th Grade Only.
The diverse geography found in Texas affected the settlement and development of indigenous
cultures. This program focuses on four tribes, their economies, traditions, and influence
on modern Texas.

with the Joe Foss Institute. Students will hear from American heroes, learn the significance
of our founding documents, and gain greater appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy
