These programs highlight a specific country within the continent of Asia. By using
our 10'x12' floor map, artifacts, stories, and engaging cultural activities students
are immersed in Asian culture. Choose from the featured country list below and then
indicate your choice on the registration form. -China -India -Japan -Korea -Turkey -Vietnam
♦North America- Civil War Era:
This program features a special guest and musical performance that highlights the
culture of this era. *Based upon availability of performers
For more than six decades [1892-1954] this immigrant station processed hundreds of
thousands of people into the United States. Travel back to the early 1900's and experience
what it was like to come to America as an immigrant.
This program is designed as an introduction to a unit or region of the world. It will
cover the basics of geography and how it affects the way people live in the region.

A SPECIFIC DAY AT THE ICC. THIS ALLOWS US TO SERVE A LARGER NUMBER OF STUDENTS. RESERVATIONS
ARE MADE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
♦Kaleidoscope-African American History Day:
Join us as we examine the history and diverse culture of the African people. This
program is designed to celebrate African-American history month. *The African American Mini Museum, featuring significant historical figures as named
in the TEKS, is the only portion of this Kaleidoscope that is offered for OTR.
