Biography

Neale proudly served 6 years in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician.  He attained the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (AT1) specializing in Aircraft Communications, Navigation and Electronic Counter-Measures equipment. He completed two cruises aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CV-60) with the VA-83 Rampagers and received numerous citations.

After completing his military commitment, he returned to Florida to finish his Engineering degree and pursue his interests in the growing field of Computer Science.  During this time Neale worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the areas of robotics controls, simulation and analyses.  Upon graduation, he began his career with a series of DoD Contractors as a programmer developing control systems for land-based RADAR systems for the Dept of Defense and NASA.  Over the next 25 years, he was fortunate to have supported a wide variety of programs and technologies including Hardware-in-the-Loop missile simulations, Theater-level effectiveness assessments, GPS-based aircraft instrumentation pods, amphibious assault vehicle targeting and fire-control systems, and development of sensor-fusing technologies for an integrated tactical air picture in the battlefield.  His most recent DoD support was at the Software Engineering Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, AL as the Project Lead for the HELLFIRE Missile Software Sustainment Lab.

Other Interests

Neale has always loved the ocean, sealife, and scuba diving.  He holds numerous PADI certifications including Tec-Trimix and has completed dives approaching 300 feet deep.  He also has a life-long love of all things aviation and is a Licensed Private Pilot.  Neale is also a part-time fitness buff, and avid Crossfitter.  He is a Level 1 CF Trainer and qualified for the 2017 and 2018 Crossfit Games as a Masters athlete.

Neale's greatest pride and joy is his family: wife Melissa, sons Hunter, Travis and Micah, their spouses Stephanie, Lindsey, Valerie and 6 beautiful grandchildren.
