Janeen Williams is the User Services Librarian. She is responsible for the planning and coordination of faculty and student services. She teaches Legal Practice research workshops and teaches in the Excellence in Legal Research Program.
Professor Williams is active in the American Association of Law Libraries. She has served on numerous committees, including the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Conference of Newer Law Librarians Committee.
Professor Williams received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Mercer University. She returned to UNC to obtain her Master's in Library Science. Professor Williams began her law library career as a Reference Librarian at North Carolina Central School of Law. More recently, she was employed at the Law Library of Congress as a Senior Legal Reference Librarian.
