Dr. Sofia Chapman is an experienced educator with almost 25 years of experience in various roles ranging from elementary to higher education. Before joining the Law School, she served as the Managing Director of the Office of Student Conduct at Texas Tech University. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing campus discipline and the TTU Code of Student Conduct, as well as serving as a member of the Behavior Intervention Team.

Dr. Chapman has also held various administrative positions, including dealing with issues related to admissions and recruitment, drafting and establishing university policies, mediation, Greek life, leadership programs, volunteer programming, financial aid, new student orientation, alcohol education, managing distressed students, community engagement initiatives, and overseeing auxiliary areas such as Student Union facilities.

Dr. Chapman earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Texas Tech University in 2012. Her research focused on assessing the success of Latinas who completed the terminal degree process. In addition to her administrative roles, she also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Higher Education program and is a Title IX Advisor and a Title IX Appellate Officer.
