  • Worked as a research assistant, teaching assistant and course instructor during her M.A. at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

Leadership / Awards

  • Served as the President of the Global & Intercultural Communication Alliance at UTSA 2004-06 and the Graduate Advisor 2007-09.
  • Nominee for the Most Outstanding Graduate Student at UTSA 2008.
  • First place paper award (open category) in the Interactive Media and Emerging Technologies Division from the Broadcast Education Association in 2009.
  • Recipient of the Helen DeVitt Jones Graduate Non-Endowed Scholarship at Texas Tech University in 2010.
