The Art Division of the Museum of Texas Tech University enriches the academic, cultural, intellectual, and creative life of the University through education, collection, documentation, preservation, research, and interpretation of original works of art. As an integral part of a multidisciplinary university museum, pursuits of problematic and new knowledge are prized.

The exhibitions, interpretive programs, research projects, and collection of over 14,000 art works of the Art Division embrace a worldwide perspective on the visual arts, emphasizing their relevance, history, and impact in the regions of the southwestern United States. The Art Division houses the Artist Printmaker/Photographer Research Collection, an unrivaled center of research, education, and public programs relating to prints, photographs and their artists.
