Texas Tech University

Cool Salsa and Hot Music

September 20
6-8 p.m.

Museum by Night takes a different format in September with different programs offered throughout the Museum. Times and locations of each speaker/event will be available that night.

The evening will feature salsa making, salsa tasting, and salsa music. Alfonso Sanchez, instructor in Texas Tech's Department of Hospitality and Retail Management and his students will talk about making great salsa. There will be samples.

Charles Olivier and the Texas Tech Tango Orchestra will provide music.

The Artist Printmaker/Photographer Research Collection will be open with a small showing of the work of Ricardo Vicente Jose Ruiz.

A new addition to Museum by Night is drawing in the galleries. Bring your own paper, pencils, and stool and spend some time drawing in the galleries.

Be sure to check out Red or Green: The Chile Pepper in New Mexico exhibition in the balcony gallery before it closes Sept. 23.

Visit with friends, have a drink and some salsa, and enjoy being in the Museum of Texas Tech University.

While the Museum by Night program is free, there is a cash bar.
